When we come before God with our prayers, things change. When we become children of God we get the privilege of talking to a God that listens. Some of us have never been thrown in jail like Paul and Silas in the passage above. However, I’m sure we have all felt stuck in different prisons at times, metaphorically speaking. But we serve a God that loves to set the captives free.

 On October 12, at 6 p.m. we are coming together as a church to seek renewal in our families. That renewal can look different for each person. We may not have all the answers, but we can pray with each other. Maybe there’s an addiction you are struggling with or you just feel stuck in life. We may not be a professional counselor, but we can put an arm around one another and pray.

This will be a special time together. Hope to see you there!
