Children's Ministry
Sunday School

At Good Shepherd, your children will find a home away from home.  We encourage learning, sharing, and community.  Our adult helpers are trained and screened for the kiddos safety.

We have an experienced group of prescreened volunteers who take great pride in making sure your child has a great church experience. Nursery is offered during both the 9am and 11am service for ages 0-2.

Two Sunday School classes meet: one for preschoolers age 3-5 and one for K-2nd graders. The kids start in either the 9am or 11am worship service and are then dismissed after about 15 minutes to go to Sunday School.

Between the services from 10-10:45 am, our 3rd-5th grade class meets for Sunday School.  Our congregation wants this age group to experience the entire adult worship service as well as Sunday School.

Making sure your children are safe and cared for is our top priority. All of our volunteers go through an application and background check process, and we follow the United Method Church’s Safe Sanctuaries guidelines. A church staff member monitors the children’s area on Sunday mornings to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Ask at the welcome desk, and a volunteer will gladly show you to our children’s area and introduce you to Children’s Ministries Director Peter Daining. Please contact him at pdaining@fwgoodshepherd.org with questions and concerns.
