Advent & Christmas Activities 2025
Hanging of the Greens
Sunday, November 23 11am
Everyone is invited to bring an appetizer, put on your elf slippers, and help decorate GSC for Advent! The kiddos will decorate their very own classrooms.
New this year: Please bring in an ornament that represents you or your family. We will have a special GSC family tree in the lobby!
Christmas Tea & Cookie Exchange
Tuesday, December 2nd

Open Table Cafe
Gathering Night’s focus will be the Tea and Cookie Exchange!
We will begin our night with a meal of chicken pot pie.
Following our meal together, everyone is invited to enjoy a simple Christmas program with lots of sugary fun.
Participation in the Cookie Exchange is optional but very yummy. If you would like to participate, please bring 1 or 2 dozen cookies with you!
Invite a friend and enjoy an evening of Christmas cheer!
Gingerbread House Decorating
Sunday, December 14
2-4pm / Fellowship Hall
Families are invited to create a gingerbread house masterpiece at GSC!
$15 per house
Included: House, icing, sweet decorations, and hot chocolate!

Gathering Night:
White Elephant Exchange
Tuesday, December 16
5:30pm / Open Table Cafe
This Gathering Night is all about Christmas parties! First, our party kicks off with a meal of baked spaghetti.
The youth will have their party from 6-8pm.
Everyone else is invited to a White Elephant Gift Exchange. Bring a gift that is practical, funny, or just plain goofy! We will sit back and enjoy the laughter as we exchange. Please bring one gift per person who would like to participate.
Children’s Christmas Pageant
Sunday, December 21
10am
Enjoy this special presentation during the service of the Nativity Story told and acted by our children and youth. Mary, Joseph, the angels, and all the cute animals come to life while our youth help the band perform your favorite Christmas carols.
Afterwards, we will celebrate the birth of Jesus with a birthday party in the cafe!!
If your youngster would like to be part of this play, please contact Corrina Weikle at cweikle@fwgoodshepherd.org. No rehearsals are required! Simply show up at GSC at 9am for a costume!
Advent Series
"Missing Peace" sermon series explores how to find peace that transcends difficult circumstances through faith in God. The series addresses topics such as finding peace amidst global and personal chaos, dealing with difficult people, and trusting God's timing even when it feels like a wait. Pastor Nikki will unveil that God’s peace is not the absence of problems, but is available through a relationship with Him and His word.

Christmas Eve Service

You're invited to a Christmas Eve service filled with carols, communion, readings, and candlelight.
