Modern Worship Leader

Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne, IN is looking for a worship leader to lead an existing Modern Worship Servicethat targets the emerging generation.  This person should have the passion and proven ability to lead worship through music, visual arts, and/or other various media.  He or she should be able to demonstrate and model Christian values. Familiarity with the United Methodist Church is a plus.  The Modern Worship Leader will be responsible for coordinating with the pastor to plan one worship service that is held on Sunday at 11:00 AM.  In addition, this leader will prepare and lead the Modern Worship Service, as well as recruit, train, hold weekly rehearsals with, and encourage the spiritual growth of the volunteers involved in participating in such services.  Good Shepherd UMC is excited to welcome the successful candidate into our growing congregation.

Youth Ministry Intern

We are seeking a college student Youth Ministry intern who is actively working toward a degree, preferably in a ministry-related field. Candidates must be 18 years or older, have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and be willing to continue to mature in his/her faith while promoting growth and deepening faith in the youth.

This part-time paid internship will occur during the 2018-2019 school year, beginning September 1st and ending June 30th. The exact dates are negotiable. The position includes a minimum of 5 hours of work per week at the church on planning and reaching out to youth. A minimum of another 2 hours per week is to be spent volunteering with either the High School or Middle School youth group.
